Artwork inspired by your most cherished memories and objects

Alice paints contemporary still lifes inspired by food, drink, florals, and the table, from oysters and lobsters to negronis and desserts. Her work captures moments of indulgence and transforms them into something lasting: a story, a memory, something delicious. Rooted in colour theory and brought to life through texture and playfulness, each piece balances humour with a strong visual presence.

Her paintings and prints turn everyday rituals into bold, collectible works, where 3D surfaces, expressive mark-making, and considered palettes create something both familiar and unexpected.

The Process

Each commission begins with a conversation. This can be over email or phone. Come with a clear vision or just a starting point: a reference image, a space, a mood or a loose idea.

From there, Alice develops a direction for the piece. This may include sketches, colour studies, or visual references, depending on the nature of the work. This stage ensures a shared understanding before the final painting begins.

Once agreed, the painting is created in the studio. Throughout the process, Alice shares thoughtful updates, photos or short videos, so you can follow the work as it evolves.

Timing and Materials

Commissions typically take around 4 weeks to complete, depending on scale and complexity.

Alice works across a range of materials and surfaces, selecting each based on what best serves the idea. The approach is flexible rather than fixed, allowing the final piece to feel resolved and considered.

Once complete, paintings require a drying period before leaving the studio. Impasto oil works generally require up to 8 weeks, while acrylic pieces may be ready sooner. If you’re working to a specific timeline, materials can be tailored accordingly.

Delivery

Your painting will be carefully packaged and delivered, or can be collected from the studio if preferred.

Alice is also happy to advise on framing and placement, particularly for works intended for specific interiors.
